Another really amazing journal made for Kristin Tweedale’s Awesome Ladies Project and that is definitely in the zeitgheist at the moment is my FEM QUOTES journal.

This was such a great project: I just used a big black sharpie and some neon paint.

I would doodle at times, collage at times.

But the focus was on the quotes.

Quotes by women in the media or in books, poetry and on the news.

These were in a small square journal that I had brought back from Hong Kong.

I loved the format of this book: that a small journal could hold such impactful words.

Some were impossible for me to pare down and whole paragraphs needed to be written out.

And others just needed a few words.
